They required my 2cv to have standard ride hight when I took it for registration (apparently tougher test) and in such case only a cow would miss turned arms.
Anyway I'm not too bothered as I don't have time for any radical project anyway. |
Yeah but if you ask permission to modify your car and show you do it properly it shall be possible to make it legal. Just look the crap as most of german 2 CV owner drive to meetings... Have you check the hoffman limo ? The rear shock absorbers are something like 1 meter longer ! They start to fold... And it's TüV approved... _________________ www.super2cv.com |

in holland the MOT is easy
if its in good nick its ok
even if there are checks from the RDW they can 't do anything about that
the RDW itself is more difficult
you may not weld on your arms or chassis
but!!!
if you're a nice guy and good with people than a lot of things are possible
engine swap and orther things can be done
but above 25% have to be check on an roadtest circuit
and that cost alot of money and if your car fails.........crashboembang
i build this car for offroad use and its MOT proof
bud if ever i got an RDW check.................

But if you or I just make something properly it has only a small chance of passing. Channeling is done legally, but the german guys here only got 5cm (floor to the top edge of the sill) approved, more was not done. If you'd come with a properjob, but 10cm I think it will be very hard to get that to pass.
I can see where you're coming from, but I stil feel modifing cars is easier elsewhere in Europe, at least it is in NL or UK. _________________ I like to play |
