Etienne, that machine will only shape the edges of the panels and not the centre section of the panels unfortunately.
Im sure it will turn out ok though when ive finished.
Olli, your right but at the moment i have fitted these as i had a set of four new tyres and havnt got enough money in the budget to buy any other ones.
I will look at tyres when im in France as they are cheaper to buy and might see what i can find for sale.
Cheers Tho Guys, _________________ If it works ok, "LEAVE IT THE FUCK ALONE". |

No you can also go quite far from border (around 50 cm). I have friends using this tool for their amazing custom VW and Beetles and it looks awesome. They make their own floors and such things with it. _________________ www.super2cv.com |

Hi Tony!
Nearly there alright! Doors look right, bootlid very realistic, aerial bracket is magnificent! Just a thought - if you have an old boat trailer lurking in the yard, and an old (or "borrowed") bus-stop, you could put that tow-bar to good use by lugging a PAK-38 around! Wouldn't take much for one with your skills in metal, and you could even escape the extra ferry charge by strapping it to the top for the trip over...
Will you be putting in the wooden floor slats? |

Renaud, you must have read my mind, lol. Ive looked into doing just that and with a view to firing potatos from the barrel by using lighter fluid and a spark plug ignition .
That should make the right sound and send the potato flying, lol, lol.
The other idea i had was to make a copy of the small 8 barrelled rocket launcher which was towed behind the kubel and some of the smaller Halftracks. Now that would be good, firing 8 firework rockets from it all at once, lol.
Have to see what time i get, i need to get the Kubel done first before i can think of any fun toys _________________ If it works ok, "LEAVE IT THE FUCK ALONE". |

Hi Tony! The "nebelwerfer" idea of yours sounds incredible, and could even be done with plastic drain pipes! Which leads me to believe it's maybe time to reveal our true intentions... This year's "foray" to the beaches (and same again next year) is really to do a practice run for June 2013, when, to celebrate my 65th, we plan to invite a few life-long mates on a mission named "a l'eau, a l'eau", the intention being to soak as many of the gauloise-smoking G.I.'s and fake Hotchkiss Jeeps as possible using kubel lookalikes armed with centrally-mounted Karchers disguised as MG34's, water grenades, and water side-arms. Naturally with plastic kraut helmets and Hitler moustaches etc. The idea is to invite retaliation of the watery kind so the important 2014 event (70 years!)turns into a running street battle. We'd been thinking of towing PAK38's, but equipped with "Wild Sling" water grenade launchers, capable of surprising range and accuracy. Just writing about the possibilities makes me excited, and glad I've never really grown up! Whatever, we really must meet up in Normandy - by the sound of your ideas, we'd rather have you guys on our side than waiting in ambush...! |

Had a few days off and really got on a bit with the 'Kubel'
Got all the doors finished, the hubcaps fitted, hood fixings on the rear panel fitted and a couple of other bits of welding that needed finishing.
My friend Richard came over today and has made a start of the front wing filler work (bondo).
Wont be long before i can get some paint on the Kubel i hope
