Stefan, can you tell us more about your ignition system? is that an edis wheel behind your puley, or is it something different? anyway great looking engine! |
i modified a engine management system from a citroen xantia i cut all the wires from the fuel injection and i only use the spark system, i'm trying to get it to work but until now it will only idle

I guess you have a "oil-temp-meter"? |

maybe it requires feedback from injectors (resistance so it knows injectors are present? )
So I guess you have cranck position sensor, timing sensor, throttle body sensor. _________________ 2CV, with Visa turbo charged |

today i got it running with another trigger wheel. i used a 36-1 but it needs a 60-2

whaha just got held down through the police, he thought is was impossible to drive a 2cv this low . i explaned him that it was very simple to lower a 2cv and blabla. the best part was that he didn't give me a ticket for having no papers with me, so i could spent the money on some parts for the car becouse it was very rusty . whaha just so funy _________________

hi Stefan,
why not use the injection system from the Xantia as well?? just install 2 injectors instead of 4 (or am i thingking to simple??) the only thing extra is a lambdasensor, and that's not to hard to build in (especcialy not for you! )
i'd like to hear your results, might be interesting to adapt to my visaengine, use the enginemanagement of a 1.8 xantia (is this multipoint injection???) use 2 injectors and the ignition of the xantia, and get rid of all the trouble with original ignition and carburattor. but the main thing is to get more power (and maybe better fuel efficiency)
likt to here fro you how you think about this!
greetzzzzzzzzzzz

Ouch!
I think with short stiffer springs and less strong shock absorbers, you can limit the suspension movement, but the reaction is more progressive. So it wouldn't break... This is just an idea, I'm not sure about that. I just compared how reacted my 2cv (regular springs stron shocks) and my dyane (stiff springs soft shocks). The dyane was more confortable even if the suspension movement was more limited. The suspension reaction was softer than the 2cv on small bumps and harder when it had to be... _________________ www.super2cv.com |

Yep, I think Etienne has a point there.
The shock absorbers are there to dampen the up and down motion of a car due to the suspension springs.
Here, you have more or less replaced the shock absorbers with steel bars...
Basically you have a rigid frame 2cv... not surprising it's tearing itself to pieces everywhere...
Harde springs mean less up and don motion. and shock absorbers chosen accordingly will work fine... _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.

and again some broken suspension parts....
this time serious damage, i really need some stiffer springs and softer shock absorbers.
how much stiffer should ami/acadiane springs be? _________________
