Just done the deal today...............exchanged my CX familiale for this.......
Just a dyane i hear you say, but no...............
and
and
and
Not built by me obviously. Done by a fairly well known 'Spanners' of 2CVGB, he has done a few sidewinders, this being the latest in a long line.
Watch this space, few things i want to do as personalisation.
But god its fun, i never knew a dyane could accelerate like this.
Ami super box with 1300 red label GSA engine. All running on a standard-ish Ami Super chassis. _________________ Too Much, is never enough. |

A sidewinder is a car with a transverse mounted engine (like the name implies)
Other than that, looks like a good start ...
What are your plans ? _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.

thats interesting, In the UK in the early to 80's a garage trading as 'Two Horse Stable' started selling professionally converted 2CV's and dyanes mounted on Ami Super running gear.
They sold these creations as 'sidewinders' since then, a lot of peopl ein the UK have called 4Cylinder A-series cars 'sidewinders'
this is one of their original adverts.........

And as for what are my plans..........
Its actually more complete and running than it looks, these are older pics.
I will use it as is for a bit, i want to get some banded steels done for it. It needs to be a bit lower too.
After that, we will see what happens. _________________ Too Much, is never enough. |

Had the car a couple of days now, it drives soooo well. Its really tractable, you can just leave it in third and drive from 20mph through to 70mph if you wanted to. Very handy.
Also very handy is the way modern cars see a dyane, try to loose it and cant. God im childish, but its fun. _________________ Too Much, is never enough. |

Oh and its gonna make me kill myself.
I cant help racing people in 'normal' cars.
It sounds awesome and its drives like a pig, but its addictive.
Drive it like you stole it springs to mind.
looks like a hard bastard doesnt it. _________________ Too Much, is never enough. |
