Does anybody on here know anything about the car in the picture I've hopefully added below?
I assume it's rear-engined but is it a 2cv engine and if so, how do you arrange the driveshafts so that the rear wheels are locked in the straight-ahead position? Do you use front arms on the rear axle tube?

Yep, front arms on the rear tube. then you weld the kingpins so that the wheels no longer turn...
Just like a 4x4 2cv. _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.

I understood that this isn't really a driving car, like the others, it's a rolling sculpture? _________________ Don't ask me what I think of you 'cause I might not give the answer that you want me to.

Oh I see! Didn't realise it wasn't a real car. That's a shame because although I don't like the cab, I do like the idea of getting the bonnet way back behind the front wheels in true hot rod fashion.
I guess you could still have the car front engined and get the bonnet further back by turning the engine & gearbox round and swapping the crown wheel in the diff onto the other side.
Has anybody done that? It would allow a much lower bonnet line as well.
Are there any examples of such a mod?

Actually, take that back. Turning the engine & gearbox round would be very nearly impossible. The engine would be in the cab with you!
I'm so stupid sometimes!

I didn't say it was street legal and driven to work...
there are some much much much much much much much much nicer/meaner/faster/stronger cars than this P.O.S. that are driven with no front brakes...
a few examples :
"Littleman's" Death's Doorstep, from Ohio
Nico's A Coupe, from south France.
And they are just 2 examples from hundreds. _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.

Not using front brakes becomes from drag racing what hotrods many times in
50's used to be. Leaving front brakes off you save many KG in american cars.

I think Nico has to anticipate a lot...
But the rear axle on Littleman's Coupe is equipped with big ventilated discs and Giant Wilwood calipers... I think he doesn't do too badly on the braking side of things.

I would like to have front brakes on my car. Especially if I had a 400+ hp light hotrod with no crumple zone, airbag etc.
You can have very big brakes on the rear wheels but during braking, most of the weight shifts to the front wheels. So no pressure on the rear tires and only skidding. _________________ Don't ask me what I think of you 'cause I might not give the answer that you want me to.
