Well I 've been to a couple of rod meetings and got mixed reactions. The good reaction was ususally laughter and not admiration, though. But that's OK. I got a picture of my car in Dice magazine last year, it was featured on the HAMB forum (pics by Rik Hoving) and I get so many good reactions from people on the road that it doesn't really matter. I go there to see other nice cars anyway, not to watch people watching my car. _________________ Don't ask me what I think of you 'cause I might not give the answer that you want me to.

I think it was out in february, at least that's when my friend got it. It's a real small picture of my car where it was still red. It was part of a feature of the Bottrop Kustom Kulture show of june 2006 _________________ Don't ask me what I think of you 'cause I might not give the answer that you want me to.

Well when you're ready with the body, here's my suggestion:
-Original colour
-White scallops
-Whitewall tires
-Moon discs "Starburst"
-smaller front indicators
-black grille with centre ornament
-lots o' bumper guards
-license plates moved under bumpers
-dummy spotlights
-sunvisor (Can be made from Acadiane roof) like so:
-double chrome tipped thin exhausts (with flame throwers)
-chrome ribs and surrounds on the rear lights
-doorhandles etc shaved. _________________ Don't ask me what I think of you 'cause I might not give the answer that you want me to.

Okay, but who wants police items on his or her car and than the lights are searching on the bonnet. I am stupid and fare from cool, but this is even worse ... |

Yep they are spot lights and in 40's 50's they came traditional piece of
custom cars. Normally in Customs they are "dummy spots" but I think
they sill give nice custom car touch. Light are not searching bonnet, they
just could be turned away while they dont do their work. Why people
even paint them cars like police cars?
Nice scetch Bart.

Spotlights were fitted on cars when street road and town lighting was not as good/existing as now.
it was a useful add on to a car, to light up signs on the roads/street plates and shit like that.
The Police used them on their cars, and still use them now, for obvious similar reasons.
They became as Olli pointed out, Custom attributes, when show cars started to become loaded with stuff (aerials, etc) and have been seen on the occasional Hot Rod
The windscreen posts are drilled, and the handle is inside the car, you twist it around to orientate the light beam... quite like a modern rearview mirror... _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.

Oh, by the way, if you turn up to the Hayride with something other than a nostalgia 40s 50s Hot Rod, you're usually shown the visitors car park, whatever it is... _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.
