hello, i'm jeremy from france.
i have read all the forum and now i decide to post
my first project is to do an old azu(au) like the olli's azu lowrider photoshop ( if he want ! )with a snail logo on the rear side or on the door.
for the moment i have no time to do it now but i hope to do it soon
i want to do a little top shop ( just remove the air flap under the windscreen) and go with the windscreen wiper on the windscreen like an old car, hydraulic suspension, and a good engine ( 652 or gsa 1300?)and maybe a chennelling but i don't know how to do it
i have another dream( like a streetracing diane with subaru impreza transmission and engine and another!!)
but for the moment i want to do the azu with great finition.
i hope the forum give rise to alot of good project
( sorry for my english )
regards, jeremy |

Just go and work!
Dont' worry about your english!
About channelling there is 3 topics where you can see examples of it.
About hydraulic there is also a topic in the technic area! _________________ www.super2cv.com |

If you're not sure about how to channel... what about getting a hydro suspension fully working ??? it's quite a bit harder than cutting a body and rewelding the floors...
good luck with your project however ! _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.

i'm mechanical in a citroen shop not a coachbuilder
cut the body is certainly more easy than doing a good suspension but i never work on metal and i will learn

Hey Jeremy,
If you are working at a citroen shop, find an old BX14 that's lying around, remove weight untill it weighs the same as a 2CV, see how it drives then, modify pressure in spheres to make it ride nice and put all the hydraulics in your azu! _________________ Don't ask me what I think of you 'cause I might not give the answer that you want me to.

It won't work, if you don't have the same suspension ratio on the BX and on the 2cv.
Look at the post Hydraulic, i've written the basics you need to make you suspension.
But, there is one thing i d'ont know, if is about the quantity of LHM that you hydraulic pump gives you, it will influence the suspension via the hight corrector.
There idea of hydraulic is good, i want to make my own one but with a channeled body, and may be lowering the engine and the gear box, because i expect to have an horizontal car, with a special frame.
I think that i've got a good chalenger! _________________ Always trying to gets more power on my AZLP, fortunately the fuel has been cheaper for one month. |
