Amazing! Do you know the history of that car? Why is it back in France?
Nice but isn't it rusty? _________________ www.super2cv.com |

Well this car sure has a nice history! Made in Belgium, exported to the US and now driving around in France ... amazing! What do you know about the history of this car? |

Well, probably this car made in Belgium never left Europe and went only from Belgium to France. But it is a very interesting model ! Congratulations ! |

The speedometer shows miles per hour, but it could be possible that it never made it to the US. Maybe Coyote can tell us more about the history of this beauty. |

Only way to be sure is to verify the chassisnumber, French and Belgian numbers should be different. Dash is the same as Belgian Ami 6's, little plastic cap to have shadow on the extra warninglights. You could also check the stamps on your windows: Glace Securit if French and Jemeppe if Belgian
Here are some pictures of the other survivor!

I'm not sure the export US version of the AMi 6 has been produced in Forest Plant. Even if belgium, dutsch and german versions were produced there, the US export version has been produced in France, at Rennes La Jannais plant, has the Right Hand Drive version for Britain.
This car has probably never crossed the ocean. Unfortunately. Even if it has a miles graduated speedometer...
Anyway, this is not important. You bought a very interesting car Coyote. Quiet rare, even in US (I know only 2 estate export US Mai 6 in states) :
This one was found in Missouri and restored in California. It has now a red ferrari painting ...
This other one is in Texas :
And this third one have been seen in a meeting in Canada in 1986 :
And if you want nice pics of saloons :
ouch :
Coyote, you will note that you have not the right headlights on your car ....
Good luck

The dash made me think this US was made in Belgium, I've learned something! And it could have been possible since other Citroëns originally delivered in the US were also Belgian production. Anyway, it's a very interesting car, wherever it was made! Clôd, thanks for sharing the pictures of those other US versions!
