Time for an update:
Some rusty parts that has been replaced now by new one (on both sides):

Making some room for the roof.
(this is now a real convertible!)

And work on the roof to repair it.
Because it has been cut in 2 in the past for the topchop by the previous owner.

So actually, this build, is a "restoring"/"repair top chop"/channeling/"3 half cars making one" project.... |

Placed a new sill on one side, next time the other side.

This is a nice hight for the sill, same level as the floor.

Slow progress, because I'm only working on it about two saturdays in a month.
But I've set a deadline: the worldmeeting in Poland.
So there is still some time |

I know the 3 former 2cv's built by the Claessen-family and I can assure you that every car that leaves this workshop looks amazing in it's own style with very high quality finish! If not, it will stay inside !! |

Late replay, but better late then no replay!
Thx for the comments!
This car will be something totally different compared to our other cars.
It will not be perfectly smooth, but thats the style.
@ azurblade: I'm 2m as well , that's why I moved the inner fenders to the rear.
Will post some pictures! |

Bought them a while ago, but haven't posted it yet

It's all about the details:
Small boults, nuts, screws, plates, little springs, etc....
Its zinc-plated now. Why better then using the old rusty ones
The left side is zinc-plated, the right side is still original

Back to the channeling:
The 2 sills and the pedal-floor are ready, one floorplate is placed, only have to finish the weldings.
It wasn't easy to get everything lined up, but we've managed it now.
Some photo's:

It is starting to look like a car now, step by step.
Thats it for today, will work on it again in a few weeks. |
