I didn't know that it excisted original with new bonnet, smooth cabin and small foldings?
Always thought that is was with an old bonnet then...
So thanks for showing those pictures!
I've learned something new today.
The bonnet is one of the last things to do, I will think about it, so will see in the future then what to do with it |

Starting to build it up bit by bit.
Takes a lot of work to remove all the rust and to place the upperpannel of the inner fender.

Because of the limited space in a azu, I'm adjusting the inner fenders for more space. (15cm)
But it has to have an original look as possible, and want to leave the spare wheel on the original position.
A lot of work, but happy with the result.

The weekend is over and I've done some work on the car as well.
Mounting the top roof of the other azu to the side of the cabin.
(with a lot of time for making the brackets, specially the one on the inside)

And placing my new part on the inner fender as well.
The curves are like original and there is still space behind for the spare wheel.
The floor will be modified later.

The new "rail" on the side of the cabin.

A lot of sandblasting and primer on it.
And placing the new "rail"

It starts to look again like a half AZU |

Didn't done a lot because lack of time with my work.
Long days with many hours, but yesterday, there was some time to work on my car again!
Time to start on the cabine,
First one is the cabine just placed, so the hight is't the same:

Cutting some parts out to drop the cabin:

Now it is on the hight how it is going to be:

Channeling, takes time, but it's cool!
The floors and sills are still need to be replaced, but this gives the idea of how it is going to be.
Next stage is the smooth top of the cabin, because an AZU doesn't need a convertible roof top. Sure that I'm not the only one with that opinion!
Over all, the car is getting in shape!
Not to bad if you realise that it where 2 half rears and 1 half front |
