In an effort to conqurer the the problem of oil surge in the 652 visa engine and the fact that 2 of the anti foam mesh I have are broken, I have been planning to build a horizontal sump baffle. The problem is that the inside of the casing is non symmetrical and difficult to measure!
An idea, $25 worth of candles, gas stove and a funnel made out of an old spud cannon later...
It was surprising just how hot the case got from the melted wax, but it worked!
The plan is to use this as a template for the horizontal baffle which will sit 1/4inch above the oil line and only have small space for the oil pickup and dipstick as a return.

Ouch, but not hopeless. My father got a beemer in the back of his dolly on german motorways in the end of the 80's. The beemer was sent to scrapyard, his dolly was rescued and he fixed it and it's still alive (but sleeping in a barn).
Will insurance cover it, or can you get some insurance money in your pocket if you fix it yourself? Good luck from far up north. _________________ '71 2cv 6 · '74 Ami Super Berline · '70 Ami 6 Service (project) · 2(3) AZU projects · 2cv since '93 · C5 v6.24 · GPicasso 2.0 hdi · 307cc |

I will be payed out the "market value" of the car and have it repaired myself.
Now I need help with rim colour selection...
I will be fitting low profile smart car tyre's and want to get the rims powder coated, should I go with the sandy brown like the roof or an off white? i'm not good with colour combo's... Thoughts?

I would say green like the body or black for the rims.
