Hello forum, i have dropped a v06/665 in my Mehari, but i need a new gasket set, for that or a 664 version. But do i get the correct one? And as the 665 is rather low in compression, i'd like higher pistons..But how can i be sure the new pistons are of the correct type?
kim
btw, its converted with DGnition and runs very well with it. |

The thing is that the pistons i am looking for, used to be standard Citroen parts. The pistons offered by various vendors dont always come with a listing of what engines they fit. And PP, well if you dont speak french you dont stand a chance with him, besides, i bought an ignition adapter (turning a Visa engine into points rather the original ignition system) from him. The adapter never really worked, giving me a 12 degrees offset between the cylinders at idle, and even more when revving. I removed the "ignition lobe carrier" thus only using the oblong plate with the 2 rods, and fitted the current ignition system, and that works. |
