so take the special pieces and put them in the garage to keep them safe, then put less rare pieces on it and modify |

Lowering, nice wheels and a decent paint job wont effect any of the 'rare' items though Etienne.
Are you becoming a bit of a 'Rivet Counter' in your old age?? _________________ If it works ok, "LEAVE IT THE FUCK ALONE". |

i akspected some comments on the plan but not from you etienne!
dont worry it wont get any drastic changes
just a bit lower
but your right it is an 68version with al the marks still on it even the flat side under the window
its the second oldest original dutch mehari stil alive
factorynr. 535
and i found it on a tulipfarm nearby where they have used it for over 20 years until the engine broke down(it ran after 30min again )
the oldest one tho has almost now 68 marks anymore
ow and the lights aren't that rare
its just 1 where the later versions have 2
or maybe put it on an lwb sj413 chassis with 32inch tyres _________________ https://picasaweb.google.com/bram.martsen |

Why not from me ? I spend most of my time looking for 100% original 2 CVs for my articles ! And I find so many of nearly perfect cars, there's always something spoiling everything ! And Mehari is very special because nowadays most of them are just brand new cars. Owners rebuild them with all the new panels and spares without caring about the original specificities.
No doubt I would come to take photos of this car if you let it as it is ! _________________ www.super2cv.com |

don't worry then and get your camera ready!
the details stay
its my intension to get it technical in order(because that is totaly destroyed) and let the outside as it is
no spoiling it just painting the rims and steering colom
i know that it had a hard live on the field and it needs a lot of cracks to be clued togetter
but thats better then new panels that looks like shit to me
i don't mind it looking like the age it is _________________ https://picasaweb.google.com/bram.martsen |

You cant get Mehari looking low at all without radical channeling operations.
Front tires will hit on innerfenders very easily. Semi low Mehari looks like
nothing. I dont think this car is really good operation for this.
