yep, modern drivetrain, discs, 602, electronic ignition, 12v, it was built by sam in france in '89 for sussex 2cv in brighton uk, i owned it from 1995 til october 2004, i never painted it, ran it as it was and had everyone tell me it was a scandal, and when was i gonna restore it? i thought and still do, think that restored 2cvs look to well restored, better than they would have from the factory when new, the paint is too good and they dont look used in my opinion. years ago i was gonna build a 2cv, galvanised totally, with no paint. another idea i was gonna do was to stove enamel the whole car, like the inside of an oven, like boulanger once thought about, until his wife said it would be too austere. oh well, i have the ami 6 now, but if anyone's interested, i have an ER brand 1956 lumpy bootlid that would suit a pre-'58 car for sale?
i would like 100 pounds for it, complete with hinges, stay, handle etc, complete _________________ "Your's may be quicker, but mine's made of wicker"

Nice Golf. Like the retro-style of it.
Do you also have some pictures of the outside of the car? |

well ok then, you do know i dont own it anymore though?
the day before i sold it, so i had to raise the suspension before the person viewed it!
i used motobecane and mini rear lights until i found a new set of early rear lights, but i never fitted them! how lazy was i?

Hey this 1960 Ripple is my car now! I call it old stinky and the patina gets better every year. I would love to have it lowered - maybe someone out there would like project with payment?
I have just managed to buy Scar built by Tony England- lots of pix on Snail forum already.
Great forum but addictive! I am going to bed later and later. |
