Because i have shortend the lower rear panel the front indicator lights look a bit big, i will be lowering the bumper to help accommodate them...
I like the shape of the Porsche light, but the more i type the more i think the original idea is best...

i like the look of the original indicators, this is how it's going to look on my pickup:
they are tucked under the tailgate a little bit, maybe you could do this to.
i'm using 4 red lenses. |

Yeah i think your right Tony, the Porsche lights are sweet as tits though
Kadaver i like that look, the front indicator lights suit it, spray it in clear and keep the bare metal look!

true, but using such iconic car parts on a 2cv is maybe not such a good style idea.
It's going to be more the case of "oh, he's put 356 lights on his 2cv" rather than "wow that 2cv rear end has had a cool treatment".
Just illustrating, but you get my point i guess

Im trying to find the right hot rod look for the 2cv taillights, collecting pictures of what others do, and looking for inspiration in the traditional hot rods.
I think that there is no law on what tail light the car must wear, some looks better than others, your choice resembles to the 39 "teardrop" ford, very used in the traditional 32' hot rods, i thing that can be a good election.
For example, I make a moke up for a twin red tail light for my own car, but I found that doesnt like me, but there are a lot of 2cv using it and looking good.
Here are some examples I found in the web:
That likes me:
The first example is using a vw classic part, no need to use only citroen parts to make a 2cv look good, the next looks like 41-48' chevy taillights
A good result with the old style 2cv ones repositioning it:
That doesnt like me:
Olli even play with the 40' "seargeant" ford double chevron tail lights in his prostreet with a cool look.
So I think that any option is welcome.
This topic was also discused at the hamb (for inspiration):

2nd and 3rd picture is the same car. 3rd in 2007 and 2nd in 2010. :)
a friend of mine owns it.
tail light are "DKW" lights (DKW Schnellaster?). Really rare
but you are right, chevy taillights 1948 ones look like them.
4th pic is my car. thanks. :)
first wanted to put the following light at it:
but light have no "e-sign" = not allowed in EU. _________________ in rust we trust... |
