I'm looking for the old style vertical speedometer, the one with the fuel gauge beneath the speedo. 12V's. Also need the mounting plate.

If it's the upper one , i have a dozen or so. Where are you from , i guess the shipping might cost more than the instrument.
I put one one the net :http://www.veteranposten.dk/visPrivat.asp?Id=29966 . I have put the price at 120kr. about 16euros |

Hej!
Marcus

Hey - sorry about that - forgot myself.
Here´s a translation:
Hi!
I live in Gothenburg Sweden. Yes it was the top one I was thinking about. The one with reverse scale that you had in the ad looked nice - cool with reverse scale. I´d be happy to buy that one.
Do you have any more parts for older 2CVs?
Cheers,
Marcus |

Just for the info, the Jaegger one showed on the top is not older than any other speedo. The big one was on the 2 CV 6 Club and the small one on the 2 CV 6 Special until 1990.
The one in the ad, the "reverse" one is a Veglia. In the 60's, Citroën has used both Jaegger and Veglia speedo. _________________ www.super2cv.com |

Thanks Etienne - that clarifies it!. It is good to learn about the Deuche!
I was thinking about using a NOS Hurét bicycle speedo. It actually worked fine concerning speed relationship - but that was also the problem as it stops at 60 kmh. But I have seen that in the US there are reductions gearboxes for the speedowire.
Apparently they were used in the old days to half the covered distance of a car to make it seem newer - hence called a "halfer". A halfer and altered scale would be possible - but I thinkk I will go for a Veglia or a Jaegger anyway - cause they also look really nice!
