Hy a friend of mine have just bough a ami "servive" and is thinking about closing the side like you did.
Can you put some picture of the inside?? Did you put a metal sheet or file the holes?? thank

this red one looks like an original tolée that had windows added. that made it "easy" to close the holes.
the Tolée version has specific interior reinforcements that the Vitrée does not have.
it's lots of work to close the windows on a Vitrée, if you had both versions side by side to compare you would understand why

the red 1 whent for scrap and he put the beige 1 on the red chassis _________________

The red body was too far rusted to fix. So I bought a new body and placed that on the red chassis.

It passed the MOT without any problems. It runs great and is pretty fast.
Only 3rd gear makes some noise |

After the 1st 1000km I can only say it runs fantastic. Still some noise in 3rd gear but that's all.
