|

Hi Snails,
While researching Bijou (and some other streamlined 2cv body variants)
several times I came across (on otherwise informative and trustworthy websites) the claim that the Bijou windscreen is a DS break rear glass.
I can't see that its possible...........
If the shape started life as DS break rear glass it must be trimmed at the sides. Surely you can't trim toughened (safety) glass ? It would just explode. It you trimmed it before the toughening process it might work, but thats like making a new shape.
Some ID breaks used plastic rear windows....... maybe this could be trimmed more easily...... BUT this would not be legal as a front windscreen.
Does anyone here know the truth about this ?
Where is the Bijou glass (front and rear) from ?
Thanks,
Bob >> |

The bijou windscreen is NOT a DS rear glass. This was just a legend.
It's almost impossible to find a bijou windscreen. Or usually there is a complete car with it. _________________ www.super2cv.com |

This Finnish company have been making windscreens for chopped custom
cars for years. I think you need to make your own mold. I think they have
been made classes even to States for custom builders.
