There is nothing secret about that. About 2 years ago I already saw a stand of 123 ignition were they were showing the development of a injection unit for the 2cv which can replace the carburetor. |

Its really interesting, all stuff is in "block" what replaces carburator,
computer etc. It just needs gazoline, electric and pedal wire (just lambda is
external component) This is how I get it. Price should be something around
500e. Correct me if I'm wrong.

injectors so far from the intake ?
I'm not a motor specialist, but I believe there are a couple of "rules" to follow when you put injectors on an engine ?
Megasquirt is probably a cheaper solution, and at least you know what you built in case you want to improve or repair it... _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.

I asked that too when I saw it the first time. Why not make a unit which will fit straight on each head and will not only give you injection but also a power gain.
They said that would double the costs and make it more awkward to fit, instead they want to design a straight away carburetor replacement.
Fair enough. |

yeah, that's good for lazy 2cv owners
"Oh, I can get injection system for my 2cv ? 500 euros ? OK !"
No questions asked...

In fact, that's a monopoint injection system for the one that don't want to crawl inside Megasquirt how-to manual!
Sometime you have to pay for that! _________________ 0 to 70 in the same day! |

There is one point and multi point injections. This one is one point.
If they do it like this is much simpler than multipoint, then they should sell
intake too. At least me I'm not interested to play whit engines.
I dont wanna build my own injection. I do some mecanical modifications
but they are not my passion. I also used to drive a lot, I dont wanna just
drive test driving all the summers. So at least for me this would be good.
(not now cos my carbu is working still )
ps. If some one wants me to build injection on his 2cv I would not do
it whit 500euros, I count value of my own time too.

It is also possible to drive with your car, and in the garage have a test engine on an engine stand, that you can use to get the injection system working nicely... _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.

500 euros is not muts,
Then I built mega squirt on my 2cv, its cost mi in materials a bit little more.
For the ordinary man this system is the best way, I would like to try a 2cv whit what on. _________________ Mvh. Lars E

does that injecting-stuff features more power?
or is it just to save gas?
i think it's really cool, but there's a lot of technic that can mess up.
i'm glad to have a carburator, and i'm glad to have only a few cables and no ignition / injection computer. :)
( oh damn, i got an iginition-computer , 123 iginiton )
a friend of mine just tries to install a full-sequential lpg asset in his
car.. this is also an interesting alternative.
originally it's for 4-cylinder motors. he just put 2 "injectors" on each cylinder.
everything is installed, but a correct rev-counter-signal is missing...and the lambda sensor. _________________ in rust we trust... |
