|
|
Hello everybody
I recently bought a 1968 Ami 6 break. Engine has been changed by the previous owner. It is now a 2cv 6 '602. I really enjoy it, it drives perfectly, but I'm thinking of some changes
Here is what I would like to do (don't laugh, but it has been done with MS Paint!!):
I want it lower
I want to :
change the exhaust pipe,
get a new right mirror (instead of the awfull plastic one),
remove the "ami6" mark,
get a new air filter (the actual one is 2cv-type, so it is impossible to have the spare-wheel under the bonnet)
and it would already be pleasant!
To be honnest, I fell for Shedspeed's Ami 6! |

I really like that just as it is perhaps a little lower . Look good with a nice set of custom VW rims, perhaps Sprintstars or Raders .
Really good shape though with little or no rust (that i can see) _________________ If it works ok, "LEAVE IT THE FUCK ALONE". |

Thanks all of you. Congratulation for your great cars.
No VW parts, NEVER! Maybe I would add GS pallas large caps, but I like the wheels the way they are. New paint would be good.
Little rust on chassis and body, on the usual parts but nothing to worry about at the moment.
I won't make it lower than on my "picture": I drive it in Paris and the suburb. There are incredibly high "sleeping policemen" everywhere.
By the way I'm looking for ideas for a CX série 2! Thank you for this forum : it brings me ideas of what I could do without turning it into a rat or a supermarked-tuned car _________________ Everything is easy, as long as you don't try to do it. |

We are not talking about VW part, but parts for VW
Anyway what's the problem? There is a lot of really cool parts for beetle & co, we should be stupid to not use them...

I think they just suck, original wheel look better without these caps!

Best idea would be to scrap it! _________________ www.super2cv.com |

you sure get nice "traditional 2cv custom" whit pallas caps but if you want
something new and cool get some Empis (made for [horrible] vw's)

I'm still not sure about Empi's, even under a Volkswagen ... These are quite allright, these would be better than the completely polished ones.
But I still think that spokes of any kind don't go well with the shape of an Ami 6. |

Oh no, the ugly 5 spoke is the one everybody thinks about when talking about Empi's. Sprintstars are nice, but that's about it in my opinion.
Edit: cool, Empi also has these!

well, its only natural...
Dont put GS hubcaps on, I tried them on mine, and there are two problems, the first, the bolt will hit the rear arches and ruin them, second, they look awful. And thats from someone who likes them usually.
Your car looks nice. I want it. _________________
