So are you planning to "suicide" the front doors, close the third windows, old bumpers, old rear face etc?

I'm certainly going to give it a go, I am hoping to pickup some old doors and "B" post's when I'm in France in May for this project.
I may have bitten off more than I can chew but you just have to try Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Wink Laughing

Nice one, did you manage to knock the guy down?

This was his old ripple bonnet - 602 power & disc brakes:

No photo shop Etienne, that was how he used to drive it around. Regrets selling it now Rolling Eyes

Neil, I paid the asking price for the bonnet, its in really good nick apart from the front, but I have another bonnet with a good grill and rusted out hinge coming from France (free Laughing Laughing ) so I will make one good one out of the pair Laughing Laughing

I thought that perhaps it was photoshopped, but according to the owner that's how low he used to have it. It was on a galvanised chassis, with all late model running gear.

The guy has since sold it & the new owner has raised it back up, as seen here at the 2007 London to Brighton:

Crying or Very sad

What a shame it has been raised up...
No other pics when it was dropped? It was really ultra cool car!

Good luck Shaun with the 2 bonnets! Don't hesitate to make pics and post them here when you'll do that...

That truely is a nice looking car!!! looks very promissing for my own project Very Happy
A pitty the new owners raised it back up again and must say that the rear, with that silly bumper and different lights, doesn't look as good as the front.

Cheers, Bart

p.s. Shaun keep up the work with your project!!! I'm interested to see how you get on with those bonnets.

OK guys. I have the donor chassis stripped and cleaned and I have started to lower it before I swap bodies over.
How much thread do you need to leave inside on the tie rods to be safe?
