(and please please again don't spoil everything by putting a ripple bonnet on a 65)

Because you've got the best looking 2cv grille and hood combo on that car.

Fitting a ripple bonnet on a car that doesn't have one originally is more a question of pride from the owner than actual enhancing the beauty of the car (how many german people have put them on 2cv6 with indicators in front wings Rolling Eyes )

someone told me the grille is of an older model. that's why i have 2 double chevron's on the bonnet...

to bad, i really like the old bonnet look. kind of why i bought a 2cv. and i don't have indicators on my front wings :p i also was planning on changing the bumpers for an older one.

But if you wanted a late fifties 2cv, why settle for this quite lovely looking AZ as it doesn't have the looks you prefer ?

Of course, maybe this was cheap as chips, maybe you didn't find an older one for sale, but this 65 is quite a fine looking auto as it is.

I think you could make a nicely personalised car out of this without going crazy and be plenty happy with it.

i found 1, a '54 a type, very well preserved (no rotten parts, not even a little hole, checked for over an hour just looking for rotten rust) but the owner was asking waaaay more then my budget allowed Very Happy
