This is my 2cv and its still under construction. Even the cheapes imitation crap will have better performances than adding another frame on the bottom. If you're chassis has been rusting from the inside out, this solution will give you a less flexible and weaker chassis. The AMI6 is yours? Renovated too? The reinforcement that you made to the chassis may be an idea, in my opinion, the metal structure that reinforces the chassis side increases its robustness.
