so, I've changed the engin on my 2CV, it now runs great but a "small" problem came out so i need advice
when I put my leg off the gas pedal revs go really slow to normal, what do you think might be the cause for this? |

try to accelerate with the hand on the carburator.
retire manually, then you can see if it's a lubrication -problem.
you could also check all screws at the carburator, perhaps the engine pulls air anywhere.
good luck. _________________ in rust we trust... |

Yes like said, I suspect the throttle shafts are sticky too, they should get much better with some oil. Also check the springs which pull and push the throttle values of the carb back to closed possition, when they are broken or wheak they can case this problem too.
Good luck and have a nice trip to France!, Bart |

The other guys are probably right and this is a long shot, have you fitted a carb from a 'trafficlutch' engine? they have an extra part and are meant to do something like this to stop the clutch disengaging when you release the throttle. I don't really know I heard it somewhere! |
