Hi,
Currently researching BMW engine to 2cv gearbox and found your forum. Several hours later.. some great stuff on here. Anyway thought I`d just check out the 2cv listings on ebay and listed tonight is a complete kit inc adaptor plate! Have to be careful how much I spend on my `72 so slightly out of my price range (thought I`d machine my own but would like to talk to someone who`shas been there) but someone might be interested.
There was a chap at last years Snetterton 24hour with a 1100cc oil cooled head who I spoke to but for me sourcing an LNA or GS box etc seems too much hassle. Also I just want a bit more power and torque than standard.
My other thought was using BMW barrels and pistons and maybe heads and lots of cunning/time. Early days yet. Cheers. |

Hi
in GB there is a Pembleton Owners and Builders Forum and they use BWM and Guzzi motors. I think there you can find a lot of tips and information about those motors on a 2CV chassis.

Before anybody become angry, those links are only because of the motors alternatives

I'm speaking to an engineering firm local to me to get the BMW adpator plate and flywheel adaptor remade, plus Ive had the engine mounts drawn up ready to be laser cut, when they're done I'll let you know.
They're the low-tech cardboard and scissors patterns I made, but give you the idea. _________________
