But SNAIL is not a club... And if it would be a club, it would be just like these hot rod clubs : selected members ! _________________ www.super2cv.com |

I know SNAIL is not a club - and I don´t suggest SNAIL to become a club with membership and all that stuff/shit -- but a plaque doesn't have to be that serious - why not a plaque just for the fun of it, like with the stickers? But of course the diy version is also solution.
Any other voices?

Then again - I guess it will be quite difficult to organize (maybe that's why there are clubs...) - Whisky and Google might be a bad combination... - not always resulting in the most realistic concepts
I´m still open to it but I guess the diy option is both more realistic and more inspirational - thanks for the tip Björn!

But a Plaque, is, in the traditional sense, very "serious".
the Car Clubs that adorn their cars with these plaques are not the sort who have membership fees or organise sunday picnics or what.
When a CC car is sold, the plaque is removed.
I can't remember which old school lowrider CC "rule book" I once read that stipulated that in case of breakdown on the side of the road, the first thing to do was unbolt the plaque from the car
Anyways... _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.

That' interesting knowledge - and it makes sense - loyalty, brotherhood and other tribe stuff rather than your casual sunday picnick club. I should have figured. Never too late to learn though. Then again I guess the level of seriousness one attach to these things is an open matter .
Cheers!

Guess the Lone Wolf plaque is always a possible solution

Especially the one with the wolf in the top hat (the other one looks like a pig)

As I'm workin with my friend Klaus on his 29 Ford Tudor Sedan for about 3,5years and everybody asked if we wanted to join a Hod-Rod club, we decided to have our own plaque. Only to get rid of them questionning! It says only W's as we always meet on Wednesdays to do our own hod-rodding thing: wednesday-wrenchers
The plaque was designed by ourselves on paper. Then cut some wooden plate and glued a plexiglass frame on. Next was to cut the "W" , "s" and the scallops from same plexiglass and glued it on.
Hardest was to find two similar old-fashioned 17mm-wrenches. Klaus cut them and formed them into a knot with his blacksmith-skills. These also were glued onto the plate.
Then we took it to a local aluminum-casting-shop, who did it perfectly. That's something, you can't do at home, unfortunately. _________________ I'm going down to Bopland. |
