Aerodynamics of a van are like a brick or (with a roofrack) a brick with a matchbox on top. Not so strange there is no difference.

Very true...
Apologies for not being relevent to 2cv's, but topical at least! Roof racks make great viewing platforms
Last years Tour going through Kent. We pulled up the night before and blagged a what we hoped would be a good viewpoint.

I think that roofrack on an AK400 really improves the looks of the car. It somehow makes the huge cargo box looks smaller, so the whole car is a lot less ugly. |

Hahaha. that's like putting a monkey on your girlfriends head so nobody notices how ugly she is.
Besides, an AK400 is not ugly.
@quiet mike: I agree that there are 101 handy ways in which a roofrack can enhance everyday life. _________________ Don't ask me what I think of you 'cause I might not give the answer that you want me to.

I love the roof racks :-)
I wonder if the chrome/ wood bug roof rack would fit on a snail, if you cut the fixings off an turn it 90° clockwise. The round shape of the beetle roof rack could maybe have a simular shape as the 2cv roof, if you turn it ... _________________ Thatīs not broken ... thats normal
