Hello,

I'm new here.

I'm Dolf from The Netherlands also a www.2cv.nl member. I also like cartuning and special 2cv and vw bug and bus tuning. Rat-look, Cal-look, Custom, and so on.

I bought my 2cv in 2002. It was a original 2cv special from 1987.

I restored it in 2003/2004. It has a new chassis, floorpads and the fenders turned black.

Result 2004:

Over the years I build more and more. This 2cv has Cruise Control, Full Audio System (132.2Db ad a Db-Drag), Alarm, Seats from a Citroen BX Millesime, K&N filter, Side pipe, Azam bumper, ...

My latest modifications are:
Ribbel Bonnet, New Wheels in Charleston red with new covers, mirrors.

I should make it lower, but with all the dirt-roads i like to ride it's not efficient.

I'm now thinking of an other roof-rack from club cassis. It bends with the original roof of the 2cv. Can't find a picture of it.

Greetzzz

Dolf

Hi! Welcome here!

Don't care of the road! Drive low Laughing
Seriously you can go lower than now without problem. Just buy some strong shock absorbers (gabriel red for example), and stab bar... You will appreciate for sure!

About roof rack, look maybe for an old one. Not specially for 2CV but you can modify it to fit it, same as I did for my 2cv. Old stuff looks so better than new ones most of the time. By the way if I were you I change these plastic ugly ad front lights for some old ones too Wink

I already have a stab bar from een Ami 8 at the front. So all I need is some stronger shockes. Can;t you do it with standard shocks from Lips?

Old headlight looks better, but where do you find them with H4. Maybe something for my to-do-list. Laughing

I'm thinking of putting some lights on the C-pillar and then give them a smoke look. Then it looks older. Remove the 3th window should make it more smood, but that is much more work and needs also a respray of the car. So also something for the to-do-list. Wink

Commends are welcome. Wink

I think he understood right! Wink

Punky, maybe you can adapt with H4... About my car, I have just one, and not connected, it's just here to look cool Laughing
Next week, I will change the back face of my 2CV for an old one with small rear lights. All this I think look better, but of course depends of your possibilities.Have a "to-do" list is a good thing! Always have projects!! Very Happy

About shock absorbers, of course you can keep using your LIP ones even lower but for myself I changed them for these red Gabriel ones and this is really really better. I think you should try : unscrew your suspension (let around 1,5cm screwed) and try. If direction is too heavy or if the frame touch too much road, make the car a little bit higher. With 2CV it's really easy for fast lower it (of course if you really want drive very low, you should adapt some parts)...

Keep posting! Wink

Ok, I tought you'd mean the original headlights, but it where the bumperlights. More people gave me the tip to replace them for round older ones. Maybe I give it a try, old round ones aren't verry expensive.

Maybe I'm going to try to lower the suspension. I did it before, so it should give no problems to do that.

What are your toughts about the C-pillarlights?

It looks better and better all the time. I would lose the shiny bits like the robri's and wheel covers, but that's my opinion.
