Some pictures, as I promised...
Oil lines, quite straight return I think..?
Detail of oil feed, now there is installed oil pressure gauge to this line, and there is about 5 bar even when engine is hot and there is more than 1500rpm...
EGT -sensor adapter, and new flange...
...and the sensor here...
New turbo mounted, there is 15cm distance to bonnet..!
There was need to drill a hole for hose to wastegate, nice to find now that there isn't any hole yet...
There You can seenew brabket for wastegate...
This turbo is some Mitsubishi, what model I don't remember, but it's from six cylinder Volvo twin turbo (as I remember that right???). Now we kept boost in 0,5 bar and after we get engine tuned well boost will be raised to 0,7-0,8 bar...
Fun started again... _________________ Make it today, tomorrow it's probably illegal... |

I knew it...
AK-5 arrived to his home yesterday, and now there is 0,75 bar boost...
Now it works fine, he told, and also EGT is much lower with higher pressure..! _________________ Make it today, tomorrow it's probably illegal... |

How high are the temperatures?
Modern turbocharged petrol engines can go as high as 1000+ degrees Celcius. At work we have a calibration limit of 700 degrees for industrial Diesel engines. _________________ I like to play |

There is now something less than 800 degrees, and there was somewhere around 1000 degrees earlier when ignition was retarded and less boost...
There is plenty of tuning with it, it isn't even near perfect now. But when we realise that, and don't kick pedal too much, I think we may survive till next weekend when we can tune it next time..? _________________ Make it today, tomorrow it's probably illegal... |

Sounds quite good! Although I got no idea how much a 2cv engine can withstand. _________________ I like to play |

Back on the road..!
And now with brakes, not with speed reducers as last summer...
That is what is now at front...
...ventilated 283mm disc, with GSA calipers...
And at rear, maybe these are enough now..? _________________ Make it today, tomorrow it's probably illegal... |

Some photos more..:
Modifications to this summer..:
-bigger clutch, 160mm->180mm
-disc brakes at all wheels, ventilated front disks
-again new turbo...
-GSA gearbox
And reasons for these..:
-standard clutch was "quite dead" after 7000km
-drum brakes wasn't enough...
-try to find turbo what works even better at low RPM
-longer gear ratio, also 2cv gearbox makes "funny noise" after last summer...
What next..? At this time we can ask, "4 cylinder, why"... _________________ Make it today, tomorrow it's probably illegal... |

Awesome ! Nice work !
Any dyno test to see how many horse power this thing is able to produce ?
How is it to drive ? _________________ www.super2cv.com |

Just to avoid misunderstanding, this car belongs to Antti K. , its not Jasu's.
Jasu is just helping his friend and posting these here.

Thanks Olli, for correction.
About speed/power, we don't really know how much there is horsepower, but we are pretty sure there is at least more than GSA now. And engine runs smoothly till 7000-7500rpm, so top speed is somewhere 170km/h now..?
Engine needs (again) some fine tuning, because of different turbo than last summer, but after that is tuned it will be taken to dyno...
With GSA gearbox, it can run at third gear to 140km/h and still there is one gear more...
And the brakes, they are great..! No one can't say anymore that these brakes aren't good enough, with drums they wasn't... _________________ Make it today, tomorrow it's probably illegal... |

What are the modifications on the engine to stand the extra-power ?
Less compression I presume ?
Modified camshaft and crankshaft ?
And did you or your friend make many pictures of the work ? I was just thinking it could make some great article... _________________ www.super2cv.com |

There is some little modifications made...
-compression ratio is about 7:1
-modified camshaft
-ported heads
-bigger valves (inlet?)
I'll ask about pictures and other info, also is he interested about making article... _________________ Make it today, tomorrow it's probably illegal... |
